Javier Tebas: “I have already given Laporta my recommendations for signing Haaland. He knows what to do.”
Tebas: “The situation is complicated. Laporta knows that he has a lot of work ahead of him and that there must be exits and also some asset issue. FC Barcelona does not have it easy, not at all.”
Tebas: “The problem is that FC Barcelona has its salary mass greatly exceeded as a consequence, above all, of the losses of the previous year(-€487M). That penalizes it a lot with respect to the salary mass because in that situation it must work under the norm of 1/4.”
Tebas: “It depends on the level of transfers that are made and the departures. they produce the exits that are being talked about - it would be the case of Coutinho or Umtiti, for example - obviously they will be able to incorporate a player with that rule.”
Tebas: “But making those transfers won't be enough. Barça must get out of that 1/4 rule to bring in a signing as important as Haaland's. We all know what they ask for salary and what Borussia Dortmund is ask for. That is not within the possibilities of FC Barcelona with the rule”
Tebas: “Barça have to recover practically from almost all the losses that have occurred and that is very complicated because we are talking practically of 500 million euros."
Tebas: “Barça agreement with CVC? I was already surprised in the summer of the change in attitude of FC Barcelona in two days. I think they have not made a real analysis of the operation.”
Tebas: “The financial operation would suppose 1.3% of its budget. It is making a big mess for something that would allow to greatly improve the economy of FC Barcelona and access to players and I do not understand it, the truth.”
