Barcelona chief Mateu Alemany admits Ousmane Dembele needs to make a decision about his new contract.

Dembele is out of contract in the summer but Barça want him to renew and have made an offer, which has not yet drawn a response. Barça cannot wait any longer and Alemany has made that clear.

"We've been working on it for a long time, always with the desire of reaching an agreement because his idea is to stay and he gives us a lot of confidence," Alemany said.

"We are now in a key moment. We hope that everything will be cleared up before the end of the year."

Barça need to know because Dembele's future will affect their planning for January and beyond.

"We don't have the Fair Play (room) to spend more at the moment, but there are options to sign and it's clear we're working on it," Alemany added.
